Jenelle Marie Distel and Benjamin Scott Miller exchanged wedding vows at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Ohio Memorial Chapel, Tiffin. The Rev. Max Ulrich officiated the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, Bascom.

The bride is the daughter of Dean Jr. and Theresa Distel of Tiffin.

The groom is the son of Bruce and Valerie Miller of Gibsonburg.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, and wore a lusterous satin, mermaid-style dress in candlelight with embroidery and beading at the bodice and at the ruching on the right hip. The corset-style, lace-up back gown originally was strapless but lace and beaded straps were attached. She wore a bird cage veil worn to the side and attached with a teal flower and peacock feather at the top. She carried a bouquet of peacock feathers, burnt orange calla lilies, teal hydrangeas and white orchids.

Michelle Risner of Fostoria was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were April Distel of Tiffin, Emily Distel of Bascom and Kristin Distel of Hillsdale, Mich., sisters-in-law of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Madison Miller of Gibsonburg, daughter of the groom. They wore teal, knee-length satin dresses of their choice and they carried bouquets of orange calla lilies, deep purple hydrangeas, white orchids and peacock feathers.

Casey Miller of Gibsonburg was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Distel of Tiffin, Jason Distel of Bascom and Joshua Distel of Hillsdale, Mich., brothers of the bride. Israel Risner of Fostoria, nephew of the bride, served as junior groomsman.

The bride, a 2002 homeschool and 2012 North Central State College graduate, is a home health physical therapist assistant for Ultra Care Physical Therapy, Toledo.

The groom, a 2000 graduate of Gibsonburg High School, is a student at Lourdes University, Sylvania.

The bride was honored by many showers from friends and family.

The rehearsal dinner was the Sunday before the wedding at Pioneer Mill, Tiffin.

The couple resides at 4935 Burkewood Court, Apt. 204, Sylvania, OH 43560, following a honeymoon to Hocking Hills.
