Shannon Nye and Ryan Bumb were united in marriage Sept. 22, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. The Rev. Joseph Szybka and Deacon Lewis Reinhart were officants during the double-ring service. A reception followed at The Masters Building, Upper Sandusky.
The bride is the daugther of Lewis and Sharon Nye of Tiffin.
The groom is the son of Gary and LaDonna Bumb of Bellevue.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a diamond white, strapless Maggie Sottero gown with lace embellishments asymmetrically decorating the neckline and bust, then alternating to the opposite hip with floral accents. The corest-style, lace-up back was accented with beading and a bubble train. She wore a headpiece with floral accents and a fingertip-length veil with beaded edges. She carried a bouquet of white, light pink, coral and light green peonies and white hydrangeas with crystal accents.
The attendents wore Alfred Angelo floor-length gowns in charcoal gray with sweetheart necklines. They carried bouquets of light pink, coral and light green
peonies and coral hydrangeas with crystal accents throughout.
Amy Benz of Tiffin was her friend’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kirsten Bumb of Bellevue and Tiffany Kessler of Republic, sisters of the groom; Casey Bowman of Tiffin, cousin of the bride; and Emily Cleveland of Bloomville and Jessie Barnes of Upper Sandusky, friends of the bride.
Flower girl was the groom’s cousin, Anna Marie Bumb.
Travis Dunbar of Monroeville was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Adam Nye of Tiffin, brother of the bride; Michael Kessler of Republic, brother-in-law of the groom; Brandon Bumb of Bellevue, cousin of the groom; and Chris Lowery of Willard and Josh Perkins of Bloomville, friends of the groom.
Ring bearers were Trever Nye, godson of the bride, and Ronnie Bumb, godson of the groom.
The bride, a 2007 graduate of Old Fort High School, graduated in 2011 from Marion Technical College and is a physical therapist assistant at Sandusky Therapy and Sports Medicine.
The groom graduated in 2005 from Seneca East High School and in 2010 from The Ohio State University. He is a commodities merchandiser at Bunge, Bellevue.
Honoring the bride with a bridal shower in July were here mother and mother-in-law at her parents’ home in Tiffin.
The rehersal dinner was at Fort Ball Pizza Palace, Tiffin.
Following a honeymoon in Avalon, N.J., the couple resides in Bellevue.
