Former Carey rector adapting to role of bishop | Advertiser-Tribune May 5, the former rector at Our Lady of Consolation Shrine in Carey was ordained as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky. Now that all the formalities are completed, Bishop John Stowe is getting settled into his new surroundings and duties. "'Getting' is the key word there.
