Park programs, June 6
The summer concert series is to host Fostoria Community Band at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hedges-Boyer Park Pavilion.
Bring lawn chairs for seating. The show is free.

A Nature Walk Bird Talk is planned at 8 a.m. June 14 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, SR 19, south of Bloomville.
All ages are welcome to walk the trails to see what nature has to offer. Binoculars are helpful for the 1 1/2-hour walk.
The walk qualifies for the walking stick program. No registration is required.
Later in the morning at Garlo, a canoe float is planned for 11 a.m.
Spend the morning paddling around the big pond to see what nature has to offer. Canoes, paddles and adult life jackets are provided.
Parents must provide life jackets for young children. Register by calling (419) 435-3915.
Young Adventurers ages 6-12 are invited to try nature photography at 6 p.m. June 17 at Clinton Nature Preserve.
Kids should bring their own cameras to learn tips and take nature pictures in the preserve. As a follow-up, kids can enter their photos in the 14th annual Seneca County Photo Contest. Details will
be available at the program.

A “Grand” canoe trip is on the books for 9 a.m.-noon June 14.
Meet at the park office, 1970 Countryside Place, Fremont, and travel to Decoy Marsh. The program is scheduled for grandparents and grandkids to have a memorable family outing, and is open to children ages 6 and older.
Adults must provide children’s life jackets. Register in pairs; both people must be able to paddle. If children are young, they can ride in the middle.
