Hands-On Nature: Autumn Celebration Open House is planned 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve.
A hike is to take place at 2 p.m. Activities are to include all things fall-related.
The center is at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, west of Findlay.
Wee Ones ages 3 and younger with an adult companion are to have a fall-themed program on apples at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday at the Discovery Center. Other-aged siblings are welcome.
Children can see and sample types of apples.
A grand opening of the park district’s storm water management demonstration area is 1-3 p.m. Sept. 28 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 SR 598, Leesville.
The project provides landowners with best practice examples for storm water management and shows how to improve water quality.
