Park programs, Feb. 8
A Winter Wonders Hike is planned at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at Forrest Nature Preserve, 701 E. CR 6.
Walk the trails and see what winter has to offer in the preserve, whether it’s snow-covered trails, tracks of a passing critter or ice on the creek. The hike lasts about an hour and qualifies for the walking stick program.
Hike for the Health of It at 4 p.m. Feb. 18 at Sandusky County Park District’s Blue Heron Reserve, 2134 CR 260, Vickery. No registration is needed.

Join historian Marta Vincent at 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at Phillips Discovery Center as she shares detailed information on marriage, divorce, childbirth and laws that applied to woman in the 1800s.
For the last several years, she has been involved in ongoing research about parasols and umbrellas, mainly in the 1850s, 1860s and 1870s. She also is involved in research on the subjects of fashion in the mid-19th century, children’s clothing of the Civil War, women’s roles and marriage and weddings.
The program is for those age 15 and older.
