Morrison House seeking donations for residents

The Community Task Force and New Housing Ohio opened the doors to the Morrison House – a transitional home for the homeless in Seneca County – in December 2012.

Since then, The Morrison House has helped individuals and families who need shelter. Programs include shelter, meals and support services for homeless individuals and families. The facility allows residents time to work through their individual issues. Staff members work with each resident to provide immediate stability and a case manager works with them to develop a plan of hope and recovery from homelessness.

The Morrison House is seeking assistance from the community to stock paper and cleaning products.

Items needed include light bulbs, trash bags, batteries, flash lights, laundry soap, all-purpose cleaner, toilet paper, paper towels, Lysol wipes, Lysol spray, bleach, sponges, coffee, condiments, sugar, flour, meat, canned fruit and vegetables, soft soap, shampoo and conditioner, razors, towels, pillows, mops, brooms and diapers of all sizes.

For questions or more information about The Morrison House, call (567) 201-8019.
