Support group offered at Firelands in Tiffin
Firelands Regional Medical Center Counseling & Recovery Services of Seneca County is to offer a free Family & Friends support group 6-7:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services of Seneca County office, 76 Ashwood Road, Tiffin
“Family and peer support play a big role in the success of recovery,” said Robin Reaves, site director for Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services of Seneca and Wyandot Counties. “But, family and friends may feel alone, angry or confused by what they are seeing and experiencing and may not know where to turn for help. We are so excited to be able to offer this support group so family and friends can learn to cope with the experiences of caring for someone addicted to alcohol or drugs.”

Appointments on same day available in Seneca County
Firelands Regional Medical Center Counseling & Recovery Services is able to provide same-day appointments in Erie, Sandusky and Seneca counties. The imporvement in customer service is expected to reduce wait times for services and facilitate faster entry into treatment for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and mental health issues.
“Our primary goal is to have our clients be successful with their treatment,” said Marsha Mruk, vice president of Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services. “And research shows that the quicker someone is able to enter treatment, the more likely the person is to follow through with their treatment plan.”
Same-day appointments are offered on specific days in three of the Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services offices. Appointments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and clients are asked to call between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. to be given an appointment that day.

Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services provides a program of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services in Seneca, Sandusky, Wyandot, Erie, Huron, Ottawa and Lorain counties.
