Dixieland jazz show planned
MELMORE – The Mohawk Historical Society is hosting a Dixieland jazz concert Thursday at Eden Township Hall.
The Honey Creek Preservation Jazz Band is to perform, starting at 6 p.m.
The band is composed of Bill Genson on cornet, Ted Witt on clarinet, Bill Parthe on piano, Russ Damschroder on saxophone, Kyle Synder on tuba, Mark Kinney on drums and Phil Cartwright on banjo.
Volunteers are to serve a traditional New Orleans jambalaya dinner 4:30-5:45 p.m. in the hall next door.
The concert and dinner are free, although donations will be accepted.
