‘Fat Tuesday’ to be celebrated
FOSTORIA – Fostoria Kiwanis Club is to have its annual Pancake Day 7 a.m.-7 p.m. March 4 at St. Wendelin Parish Life Center, 323 N. Wood St., Fostoria.
The cost is $6 for adults, $5 for Golden Buckeye members, $3 for children ages 5-11 and free for those younger than age 5.
Raffles also are to be conducted for prizes such as a television and tickets for The Ritz Theatre, Cleveland Indians and Toledo Mud Hens. Raffle tickets are $1.
Proceeds from Pancake Day are to be used for community projects in Fostoria.
Free mammograms available
A free mammogram screening is to be offered March 12 at the Seneca County General Health District, 71 S. Washington St.
This service is for people age 40 and older who have not been screened for two or more years for financial reasons. A partnership with the county health department and Northland Radiology Diagnostic Imaging Center is providing these screenings with funding from Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio.

Adult bereavement group forming
Stein Hospice, 100 Madison St., is hosting a six-week adult support and educational group for the loss of a loved one. It is to run 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 5-April 9.
