Abe Lincoln portrayer coming

The American Civil War Museum of Ohio is planning a fundraiser 6-10 p.m. May 3. The public is invited to President Abraham Lincoln’s inauguration reception at the museum, 217 S. Washington St.

Volunteers are to serve heavy hors d’oeuvres of the North and South and provide an open bar.

Robert Bruglerof Worthington is to portray the 16th U.S. president. Weather permitting, he will arrive by horse-drawn carriage, courtesy of Roger and Sue Murray, at 7 p.m. to meet the guests. Many of the museum’s volunteers will be in period costume roaming the rooms with information for guests who are interested in the political atmosphere of the time. Lincoln then will give excerpts from his first inaugural speech.

Reservations are $50 if made by April 26. The cost is $65 after that date. To reserve a spot, call (419) 455-9551.
