Nobodies of Comedy returning to Tiffin

Tickets still are available for The Nobodies of Comedy Tour which is to stop at The Ritz Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Even though you’ve never heard of them, the four talented comedians promise to provide plenty of laughs for mature audiences only.

Bill Boronkay

A former sportscaster, Bill Boronkay enjoyed stops in Clarksburg, West Virgina, Evansville, Indiana, and Kansas City before finally landing in Cleveland, where he received various hazardous assignments. Along the way, Boronkay won five Emmy’s, yet a failed audition with ESPN caused him to reevaluate his career. From there he pursued “his true 14th dream” and stand up, moving to New York City in 2015. Boronkay has been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, SportsTime Ohio and Time Warner Cable. He has been heard on ESPN Radio, Bob & Tom and various radio stations across the country.

Mike Conley

Akron native Mike Conley has been performing throughout the Midwest since 1990. His comedy strikes a familiar chord with material that ranges from teenage life in the ’70s to middle aged life today. Conley’s slant on family life, vacations, growing older and being a single male, never fail to entertain audiences.

Marvin Lee

Life can be interesting growing up in a bi-racial household in the deep South but Marvin Lee turned to humor. In school, he became the unofficial ambassador among all the races. Lee’s unique view of the world, high energy and down-to-earth smart style, allow him to take several familiar subjects and twist them to his own point of view. This forces his audience to learn something about each other and themselves.

Charlie Weiner

What happens when a baby boomer, happily residing in a deep in a mental closet filled with ’60s memorabilia, wakes up to find he has been married several times and is the farther to two daughters of voting age? Charlie Weiner draws on his chaotic past to rant about the realities and responsibilities which could make him give up the life he has chosen to find adulthood and a regular paycheck.
