Historian to share story on medicine of the Civil War

FREMONT — Local historian Mike Gilbert is to discuss the medical practices in the time of the Civil War at 4 p.m. today at Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.

Gilbert’s talk will complement the special exhibit, “In Search of Healing: Medical Practices of the 19th Century.”

Three groups to play East Green Aug. 18

The East Green Amphitheater is to host a free concert 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 18.

The concert is to feature three music groups along with special guests and a combined finale.

Groups are The Tuesday Crowd, I Got a Phone Call and the Da Land Brass Band.
