BSA to host auditions Monday, Tuesday for fall production

BELLEVUE — Bellevue Society for the Arts, 205 Maple St., is to present “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” with auditions at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

One of Broadway’s greatest farces, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” is a comedy in which Pseudolus, a craft slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted, courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in an exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors and a showgirl or two.

Performance dates are Sept. 7-9, 14, 15 and 16.
