FCA starts concert series

FOSTORIA — Fostoria Community Arts Council is to kick off its summer concert series with Brent Lowery and the Drifters 7:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wainwright Amphitheater.

Brent Lowery and the Drifters will bring a revival of real country music with a down-to-earth, hardworking, good ol’ boy feel.

Comunity band to present ‘celestial’ themed concert

FOSTORIA — Fostoria Community Band is to present its concert “Celestial Wonders” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hedges-Boyer Park, Tiffin, 7 p.m. June 13 at Findlay Riverside Park, Findlay, and at 7:30 p.m. June 24 at the Fostoria Foundation Park.

Music is to include songs “Beyond the Cosmos,” “Jupiter,” “Star Trek,” “Superman,” “You’ve Got a Friend” and more.

Barbershop group to perform

BOWLING GREEN — Voices of Harmony Barbershop Chorus are to present “An Evening of A Capelling” at 7 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 126 S. Church St.

The chorus is to be joined by special guest quartet Tune Squad and the chapter’s quartet, Prototype.

The concert is to feature performances of a mix of religious and secular music, with an emphasis on four-part barbershop harmony.

BSA to host next cabaret

BELLEVUE — Bellevue Society for the Arts is to host Holiday Innkeeper Cabaret Troupe’s performance of “Doo-Wop Explosion” at 7 p.m. June 15 at 205 Maple St.

The cabaret is to feature doo-wop favorites from the 1950s and ’60s.
