Glenn Miller Orchestra to take Ritz stage

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is to perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is one of the most popular and sought-after big bands in the world today. With its unique jazz sound, it is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time.

The present orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since — playing an average of 300 live dates a year around the world.

Music includes “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “In the Mood,” “A String of Pearls” and “Moonlight Serenade.”

H-L schools to host talent show

BASCOM — Hopewell-Loudon National Honor Society is to host the annual K-12 talent show at 7 p.m. Saturday in the H-L auditoria, 181 N. CR 7.

Acts include dance, singing and juggling.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for children and students at the door. Proceeds are to be donated to the Disabled American Veterans Charity Trust Fund to help veterans in need and their families.

Historical society to host concert

MELMORE — Mohawk Historical Society is to host a free concert featuring Kerry Patrick Clark at 3 p.m. Sunday at the 1910 Eden Town Hall.
