Nobodies of Comedy tour returns to Ritz Saturday
Four not-well-known comedians are to set foot on The Ritz Theatre stage this weekend during the Nobodies of Comedy.
Comedians featured include Dena Blizzard, Rob O’Reilly, Charlie Wiener and Joe Bublewicz.
Blizzard is a comedian and mother of three now starring off-Broadway in her one-woman show, “One Funny Mother.” It is a multimedia theater show about motherhood. Blizzard’s fame came this summer with her viral video “Chardonnay Go,” seen more than 44 million times worldwide.
Blizzard, a former Miss New Jersey, has been featured in the New York Times, co-hosted with Anderson Cooper and performed at Catch a Rising Star, The Comedy Stop at the Tropicana, Gotham Comedy Club and The Laugh Factory. You can see Blizzard live on Facebook on “Tipsy Tuesdays” at 9 p.m. Tuesday and “Chardonnay Go Live” at noon Fridays.
O’Reilly has had appearances on the “Tonight Show,” “Last Comic Standing” and Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.” He has been named one of LA Weekly’s Top 10 Comedy Acts to Watch and one of Funny Or Die’s 30 Under 30: Comedians to Watch. O’Reilly spent three years as a staff writer on MTV’s “Ridiculousness” and a year as a monologue writer for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
Headlining comedy clubs across the United States and Canada for more than a quarter of a century, Wiener takes his joy on the stage promoting the concept of old people becoming a drag on the younger generation. His subject matter ranges from travel to politics, road rage to stupid people, fatherhood to marriage, marriage to marriage to relationships back to marriage and more.
Bublewicz is to return to The Ritz with all-new material. A 20-year veteran of the national comedy circuit, Bublewicz’s ability to take the audience on a tour of life’s absurdities is said to create an atmosphere of non-stop laughter. Bublewicz’s act is a blend of just the right mix of sarcasm, logic and personality.
The show is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St.
