Ritz hosting trio of events
Friday Night Live returns to The National Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Friday. April’s performers include singer/songwriters Jim Gill of Westfield Center, Kyle Anthony of Elida and Kerry Patrick Clark of Whitehouse.
All seats are $10.
The Ritz Teen Thespian Guild is to host a middle school acting workshop 2:30-5 p.m. Saturday on the main stage at The Ritz Theatre. Anyone in grades 6-8 is invited to attend. No reservations are needed and admission is free.

The Ritz Theatre continues its Golden Age of Hollywood movie series at 2 p.m. April 16. This month’s film is the 1957 classic, “The Bridge on the River Kwai.”

Jazz Ensemble to take stage
The Heidelberg University Jazz Ensemble is to perform at 7 p.m. Saturday in Rickly Chapel, University Hall, on campus.
The ensemble is to perform selections such as “All in Good Time” by Les Hopper, “Groove Merchant” by Thad Jones and “C-Jam Blues (Ala Mambo)” by Duke Ellington.
The concert is to feature vocalist Darcianne Allen, Vicki Murphy on flute and saxophonists Lynsey Cook, Cedric Henderson, Kyle Sherepita, Megan Shock and Sara Semer. Playing the trumpet will be Owen, Krystal Harms, Rob Fruscella and Elizabeth Tracy, and playing the trombone will be Daryl Close, Cody Henderson, Julie Hale and Jeremy House. Melissa Flowers will be on piano with Kyle McDonald and Ted Berger on bass.
The concert is free.
TU students to perform
Tiffin University’s music department has slated two free concerts this weekend.
The TU Band and choirs are to perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Osceola Theatre in the Gilllmor Center on campus.
