Sauder to offer craft workshops
ARCHBOLD – A new craft program will allow guests to “Discover Handmade” this winter at Sauder Village. From February through mid-April, craftsmen are to present free demonstrations 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays in the Sauder Village Welcome Center.
The demonstrations will vary each week. The demonstrations planned in February include broom-making Saturday and basket-making and spinning Feb. 8. Guests can watch rug-hooking demonstrations Feb. 15 and weaving Feb. 22.
“Discover Handmade” demonstrations are scheduled through April 12. A complete schedule of programs is posted

Free “Craft Saturdays” also are planned this winter. Throughout February and March, there will be special “how to” projects demonstrated at the gift shop and Lauber’s General Store. Demonstrations are to take place 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with crayon rubbing Saturday, green cleaning Feb. 8, floral arranging Feb. 15 and meal placemats Feb. 22.
