FCT variety show rescheduled

A round of winter weather sidetracked the Fremont Community Theatre’s variety show, but it has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. Feb. 7 and 8.

An FCT original production for mature audiences, “V is for Variety” is to feature magic, music, comedy and more. Theater members and community members are to display their talents on the FCT stage, 1551 Dickinson St., Fremont.

Director Pete Lowry has announced the cast for the upcoming production of “Rex’s Exes,” by Jones, Hope & Wooten. It includes Me Me Clark, Karen Langley, Jenn Abdoo, Megan Abdoo, Ron Hill, Cheryl Bolton, Latisha Fields, Judy Smith, Claire Zimmerman and Bob Ammanniti.

Three characters, LaMerle Verdeen Minshew,Theodore Rexford Belrose and Marlissa Crutchfield, are yet to be cast. Anyone interested in joining the cast should call (419) 332-0775.

Open auditions for the May production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” will be 7 p.m. Feb. 9 and 10 at the theater. Those auditioning should prepare 16-32 measures of a Broadway-style song. An accompanist will be provided, and there will be readings from the script.
