Altrusa to stage bridal fair
Meadowbrook Park Ballroom in Bascom is the venue for “More Than Just a Bridal Fair” noon-3 p.m. Sunday.
Sponsored by Tiffin Altrusa, the event is to feature more than 45 vendors with displays and information about gowns, tuxedos, reception halls, flowers, food, photographers, tent rentals, limousines and other items for special events.
There will be hourly door prizes, drawings for two bridal baskets worth more than $1000 each, and a grand prize basket for non-brides valued at more than $800. The grand-prize drawings take place at 3 p.m. and winners must be present to claim their prizes. Lunch is to be available. For dessert, guests can sample cakes or other snacks provided by vendors.
Admission is $4.
Party planned to help pets
The Humane Society of Seneca County is staging a benefit bash 8 p.m.-midnight Feb. 1 at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom in Bascom.
The Together Band, with Kevin Maiberger of Tiffin, is to provide live music. Guests should bring their own beverages and snacks.
Tickets are $25 at the door. Advanced tickets are $20 and available in Tiffin at the Humane Society (South SR 100), the office of Dr. Mark Hagan (CR 54) and at Tan-It-All (325 Jefferson St.). Proceeds are to be used to maintain the local shelter and care for the animals.
Auditions planned for comedy
FREMONT Auditions have been scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday for “Rex’s Exes” at Fremont Community Theatre, 1551 Dickinson St., Fremont.
The comedy, a sequel to “The Red Velvet Cake War,” requires three male and eight female adults.
