Sounds of the season offered
Tiffin University’s music department will perform traditional and popular Christmas favorites at 7 p.m. Friday at The Ritz Theatre. The concert is to feature the Tiffin University Choir, Concert Band, Gospel Choir, TU Kids Choir, Dance Team pop and commercial groups.
Tickets are $10, all of which will be donated to charity. Children and TU students will be admitted for $5.

CLYDE – Communities for the Arts is presenting the annual Toledo Symphony Christmas Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Clyde High School auditorium, 1015 Race St., Clyde.
The $20 reserved seat tickets are available 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Friday at the Clyde-Green Springs Board of Education office or at the door Friday night.

CAREY – The 100-voice Carey Ecumenical Choir is to present its 42nd annual Christmas Concert 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday in the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, 315 Clay St., Carey.
Admission is free, but a freewill offering is to be accepted. The Shrine Cafeteria will be open for dinner following the concert.
‘Holiday Inn’ to be screened locally
The 1942 romantic comedy, “Holiday Inn,” is to be shown at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Ritz Theatre as part of the Golden Age of Hollywood Matinee Movie Series.
Bing Crosby as Jim Hardy croons to the tune of the Oscar-winning “White Christmas” in Irving Berlin’s love triangle romantic comedy. The Hardy character abandons his career as a performer, retreats to the country and buys a farm. He converts the farm into the Holiday Inn, which is only open on holidays. Fred Astaire portrays Hardy’s friend but soon becomes a rival for the affections of another performer, played by Marjorie Reynolds. The unrated classic runs 101 minutes.
