Auditions slated for ‘Miss Daisy’
BUCYRUS – Auditions for “Driving Miss Daisy” are to take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Bucyrus Little Theatre.
“Driving Miss Daisy” explores the relationship between an aging, crotchety white Southern woman and a proud, soft-spoken black man. In a series of scenes spanning 25 years, the two grow closer and more dependent on each other despite their differences.
The cast consists of one woman and two men. Age is approximate as those cast will need to convincingly age over the course of the play. The characters are Daisy Werthan, a widow (age 72-97), Hoke Coleburn, her chauffeur (age 60-85), and Boolie Werthan, Miss Daisy’s son (age 40-65).
