Hypnotist coming to UF

FINDLAY – Award-winning hypnotist Dale K is to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Alumni Memorial Union at The University of Findlay. During his program, he will show how hypnosis uses the power of suggestion to motivate the mind, rather than to control it.

Admission is $5 at the door for the general public and free with a valid UF I.D. The show is rated PG-13.

Blues band to perform in Fremont

FREMONT – The Strand Concert Theatre, 220 S. Front St., Fremont, is the venue Saturday for a concert by Terry Davidson and the Gears. The blues band from Columbus is to take the stage at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Matinee movie is ‘Going My Way’

The Ritz Theatre is to present “Going My Way” at 2 p.m. Nov. 20.

Father Chuck O’Malley led a colorful life of sports, song and romance before joining the Roman Catholic clergy, but his level gaze and twinkling eyes make it clear he knows he made the right choice.

After joining a parish, O’Malley’s worldly knowledge helps him connect with a gang of kids looking for direction and handle the business details of the church-building fund, winning over his aging, conventional superior, Father Fitzgibbon.

The 1944 movie stars Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald. Admission is $3.

Christmas story to be staged

UPPER SANDUSKY – Tickets are now on sale for The Star Players upcoming production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” The production will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 22, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 23 and 2 p.m. Nov. 24.

Elchert-Paulus benefit set for Nov. 30

The Casey Elchert/Marissa Paulus benefit is set for 6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Tiffin Moose on North SR 53.

Admission is free. Fort Ball Pizza Palace is to provide pizza.

A raffle is to be conducted with prizes of a 55- or 48-inch Vizio TV or a 16GB iPad. The winner need not be present to claim these prizes. Tickets are $10. There will be additional drawings and auctions.

Allie and the Rockers and The Late Show are donating their time to provide entertainment.

Proceeds from the event are to be donated to the Casey Elchert Scholarship Fund, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund and the Marissa Paulus Children at Risk Fund. Tickets are to be available at the door, in advance at Fort Ball or by calling (419) 447-0144.

Holiday concert, dinner set for Norwalk

NORWALK – Towne and Country Players has tickets on sale now for “Christmas Glorious” and candlelight buffet Dec. 12 at Norwalk St. Mary.

Seating for dinner begins at 6 p.m. The concert by the Ashland University Singers is at 7:30 p.m. in the church.
