Three concerts booked

FOSTORIA – Fostoria Community Arts Council is to present “Let’s Party with Dueling Pianos” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the amphitheater at Meadowlark Park. Admission is free.

The rain location is Wesley United Methodist Church, 1200 Van Buren St.

FINDLAY – This week’s Rally in the Alley in Findlay’s Latham Court features free music by The Athen Ry 5-8 p.m. Friday. Food by Red Lobster is to be for sale, too.

FREMONT – The North Coast Concert Band is to perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Birchard Park in Fremont. Admission is free.

In case of rain, the concert will be canceled.

Bettsville to celebrate

anniversary with park events

BETTSVILLE – The village of Bettsville is having its 175th Anniversary Bash Saturday and Sunday at H.P. Eels Park, 7800 N TR 70.

Saturday events include a flea market and craft show beginning at 10 a.m.; parade at 11 a.m.; kiddie tractor pull, 1-3 p.m.; games for all ages, 3-5 p.m.; cardboard boat races, 6-8 p.m.; and community fire rings and free s’mores, 8-10 p.m. The Spittoones also are to play 8-10 p.m.

Rally against drugs in Fostoria

FOSTORIA – Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services and the city of Fostoria are hosting a drug-free rally 3-7 p.m. Saturday. The new shelter house at Fostoria City Park is the venue.

Families can participate in games, see a magic show by Rodney Biggert, a fire safety demonstration by the Fostoria Fire Department and a K-9 demonstration by the Fostoria Police Department. Food also is to be available.

Ellen Groves, a prevention specialist at Firelands, also conducts a morning day camp at the park for children ages 5-8 and an afternoon session for those ages 9-12. The camps focus on living without drugs and alcohol by participating in outdoor sports, story-telling and activities about making good decisions.

Arts festival slated in Toledo

TOLEDO – Art enthusiasts can sample a variety of fine arts by more than 200 artists from all over the nation at Crosby Festival of the Arts. This annual event runs 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday at Toledo Botanical Gardens, 5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo.

Admission is $8.
