Theater campers to perform

Participants in the theater camp at The Ritz Theatre are to perform “Tortoise Versus the Hare” at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday on the main stage at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St.

Free concerts on tap

The summer concert series at Hedges-Boyer Park continues at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with the Expando Band playing in the pavilion.

Those who attend should bring seating.

FREMONT – Birchard Park in Fremont is to host a concert by Dana Dorsey and the Blue Notes at 7 p.m. Sunday.

In the event of rain, the concert will be canceled.

FOSTORIA – The Cardinal Chorale youth choir is to give a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Wendelin Church, Fostoria.

The group is the audition contingent of the All-Ohio Youth Choir. An offering will be taken.

FREMONT – Honey Creek Preservation Band is to perform 7-8 p.m. Wednesday for the next Verandah Concert at the Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont.

An old-fashioned ice cream social at 6:45 p.m. precedes the concert.

Attendees are asked bring their own chairs or blankets for seating. If there are thunderstorms, the event will be canceled.

Community Days back in Bellevue

BELLEVUE – Bellevue Community Days are set for 5-9 p.m. June 27 and 28 and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 29 at Roger Peters Park, Bellevue.

A midway is to feature food vendors, games and an entertainment tent. The featured entertainment 5:30-7 p.m. Friday is musical performances by students from Bellevue middle and high schools.

Saturday’s schedule includes a variety of activities. The parade is at 10 a.m. Kids Day is to run 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with Big Smile Entertainment and Dog Day is 10 a.m.-6 p.m. with canine contests and demonstrations.
