High school shows in the works

The high school stage production season kicks off this week at Mohawk, Seneca East and Buckeye Central. Here are more shows, as reported to The A-T.

Romance begun on Fremont stage

FREMONT – “Love Letters” is to be staged this weekend at Fremont Community Theatre. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The show continues at 8 p.m. March 15 and 16 and 2 p.m. March 17.

Irish music, food offered

BELLEVUE – An Irish dinner is to be served at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bellevue Society for the Arts, 205 Maple St., Bellevue.

At 7:30 p.m., The Kells are to give a concert of traditional and contemporary Celtic music.

The cost for the dinner/show combo is $25. Show-only tickets are $15 at the door. For dinner reservations, call (419) 484-2787.

Dancers of all ages needed

Kathy Miller, of trideaDANCE, is to conduct auditions for male and female dancers ages 14 through adult at 2 p.m. Sunday in The National Theatre.

Those selected are to perform in a work to be premiered at trideaDANCE’s April 20 concert at The Ritz Theatre. Selected dancers may be asked to stay until 5 p.m. during the audition.

Dancers should dress comfortably and be prepared to learn and show movement phrases. Previous dance experience may be helpful but is not required. Rehearsal dates and times are to be determined.

Skaters to present special show

FINDLAY – The Gliding Stars of Findlay are to present the 12th annual ice show at 2:30 p.m. March 17 at The Cube.

“Rockin’ the USA” features 57 skaters with special mental and physical needs from Hancock County and the surrounding area. They perform with customized equipment and volunteer instructors.

Tickets are $5 at the door. The Cube is at 3430 N. Main St., Findlay.
