Heidelberg jazz group to perform

Friday Night Live at The National Theatre is to feature Heidelberg University’s Jazz Combo at 7:30 p.m. Friday. All seats are $10.

Businesses to pitch cornhole

Tiffin-Seneca United Way is to host its fifth annual Battle of the Businesses cornhole championship 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Camden Falls.

Businesses and organizations are being invited to sponsor a team in the friendly tournament. Cash prizes will be given to the top four teams. The winner(s) will be honored by having their business name engraved on a traveling trophy and keeping the trophy on display at their business for the coming year.

Spectators are welcome to cheer on their favorite teams and buy tickets for raffle prizes to be awarded. All proceeds will go toward the United Way campaign, which ends March 31.

Lions Club serving Sunday dinner

REPUBLIC – The Republic Lions Club is to serve a chicken barbecue at 11 a.m. Sunday in Republic Town Hall. The dinner includes a half-chicken, potato salad, applesauce, bread, cupcake and beverage.

Carry-outs and a drive-through are to be available. New this year is home delivery within 10 miles.

FOSTORIA – The Fostoria Senior Center is planning a trip to West Virginia May 22-24. The cost of $399 includes bus transportation, hotel, meals and a scenic train ride.

‘Odd Couple,’ ‘Golden Pond’ on stage

BELLEVUE – Bellevue Society for the Arts is to present two more performances of “The Odd Couple,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 205 Maple St.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for students. The show is appropriate for all.

Dance to help hospitalized veterans

NEW RIEGEL – The New Riegel American Legion is to host a benefit dance for hospitalized veterans 8 p.m.-midnight March 9.

Open to all, admission to the dance is $6. Snacks and refreshments are to be available. Guests are asked to bring their own adult beverages.

The Leftovers Band, formerly Booze Brothers, is to provide live music.
