Seneca East high school is beating the odds, according to Newsweek | Advertiser-Tribune ATTICA — Junior High-High School Principal Don Vogt had good news for the Seneca East Board of Education Monday when he shared Newsweek's 2016 list of schools that are "Beating the Odds." In the magazine's annual list of lower socio-economic school districts that excel in preparing students for college and careers, Seneca East's national ranking is in the top 2 percent, competing with 37,100 private and public high schools throughout the United States. It also ranked in the top 2 percent statewide. According to Vogt, no other area school received this distinctio.
