Gallery to feature Cleveland artist

TU’s Diane Kidd Gallery of Art will host a new exhibition of ceramics and drawings focusing on orchids by Cleveland artist Angelica Pozo in its first show of the 2013 calendar year.

“Orchidaceae: A Study Drawings and Ceramics” is to open with a special opening reception 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 7 at the gallery in the Hayes Center for the Arts on the TU campus.

Admission is free. Pozo will speak about her fascination with orchids during the reception beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Pozo is an award-winning artist whose work is featured in many public spaces and collections throughout Ohio and across the United States. She is a speaker, teacher and resident artist. She is the author of three books on ceramics and tile making, as well as a DVD, “Creative Tile Making.”

“Orchidaceae” is to run through March 17.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and by appointment. Group tours are available.
