Leonard and Dorothy Coppler celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, by receiving a special blessing at Mass and lunching with their children.
They were married in 1953 in Angola, Ind. They had a formal ceremony Dec. 20, 1958, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, officiated by the Rev. Cleo Schmank.
Leonard is the son of the late Christ and Orpha (Woodruff) Coppler. He has been retired from the Fostoria Police Department for the past 30 years.
Dorothy is the daughter of the late Clarence and Corinne (Rinehart) Williams and has been retired from Airfoil Textron’s Fostoria plant for 21 years.
They are the parents of four children, Leonard (Yan Wang) Coppler of Fostoria, Kristina (Bill) Ebersole of Findlay, Terrance Coppler of Fostoria and Daniel (Cindy Hill) Coppler of Alvada. Seventeen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren complete their family.
